State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said Bangladesh would create its own social media as an alternative to Facebook to make the country self-reliant at the initiative of the ICT department.
This will enable entrepreneurs within the country to make their own online marketplaces and groups for information, data and communication. Entrepreneurs don't need to believe foreigners.
The state minister made the remarks while addressing the inaugural function of Entrepreneurship Masterclass Series-2 organized by Women in E-Commerce (WI) online on Saturday (July 24).
Palak said a platform called Alapan is additionally being created as an alternate to WhatsApp for self-communication. He detailed the activities of creating various digital platforms on their own initiative, including streaming platforms.
He added that the ICT department has already created a vaccine management system protection app for Zoom's alternative meeting platform and coronary prevention.
He thinks the first challenge of being an entrepreneur is to have the courage to take risks. She called on women entrepreneurs to engage themselves with innovation with honesty, dedication and transparency.
